Ellie supported Hasan with updating his CV, provided job application support, and signposted to programmes with would help him upskill. Through these programmes, Hasan received two qualifications in Young Adult Safeguarding and Understanding SEN.

With Ellie’s support, Hasan applied for several roles and successfully obtained two job interviews! Ellie and Hasan went over the job descriptions and ran through some mock interview support and Hasan was successful! He now works as an SEN Support Worker and is really enjoying his role.

Hasan’s journey overcoming barriers to finding meaningful employment

I joined the Wellness In Work: IPS programme in July 2024 after struggling with psychosis and anxiety. I had successfully made it to university to begin my studies, but I had to take a break due to my mental health.

After meeting with Ellie, I decided that I didn’t want to return to university and instead wanted to focus on finding employment. However, during my job search, I faced some barriers due to my physical disability, which really knocked my confidence. Ellie supported me through this and helped me embrace my full potential, encouraging me not to let my disability hold me back from achieving my goals.

She helped me update my CV, provided job application support, and signposted me to programmes that would help me upskill. Through these programmes, I earned two qualifications in Young Adult Safeguarding and another in Understanding SEN.

With Ellie’s continued support, I applied for several jobs and successfully landed two interviews! She helped me go over the job descriptions and ran through mock interview practice with me. Thanks to her guidance, I was successful! I now work as an SEN Support Worker, and I’m really enjoying my role.
